Legal
Privacy policy.
This covers identie.net, the website. It does not cover systems we build and run for clients - those are governed by the agreement with that client, and we describe our role in them below.

What this website collects
Nothing, unless you write to us.
There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no third-party scripts of any kind on this site. We do not know how many of you there are, where you came from, or what you looked at.
The site sets no cookies. It stores one value in your browser's session storage, identie-loaded, so that a returning visit in the same tab skips the opening animation. It is cleared when you close the tab, and it is never sent anywhere.
Typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so loading a page does not reveal your IP address to a font provider.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, HOSTING PROVIDER, keeps standard web-server access logs. These typically record IP address, the page requested, timestamp, and browser user agent. They exist to run and secure the service, not to profile you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, an email address, optionally your company, the kind of work your enquiry is about, and whatever you write in your own words. It is sent to us as an email. Nothing else is attached to it.
What you write is read by a person at IDENTIE LEGAL ENTITY NAME so that we can reply and, if it goes further, scope the work. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your enquiry to anyone outside the company.
Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
Retention: we keep enquiries for RETENTION PERIOD, then delete them. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Data inside systems we build
When we deploy a system for a client, that client decides what personal data it touches and why. They are the controller; we act as a processor on their documented instructions, under the data processing terms in our agreement with them.
Your data does not leave that deployment to train anything shared, and it never crosses between clients.
If you are a customer of one of our clients and want to exercise a right over your data, contact that company - they hold the relationship and the record. Tell us and we will help them answer you.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Two providers necessarily handle website data on our behalf: HOSTING PROVIDER, which serves the site, and EMAIL / SMTP PROVIDER, which carries contact-form mail. Both act on our instructions.
We will disclose data if the law requires it, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
Where it goes
Website data is processed in COUNTRY. Where a provider transfers data outside that jurisdiction, it is done under an approved transfer mechanism - standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy in a portable form, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it.
Write to hello@identie.net and we will answer within one month. You do not need to use a particular form of words.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. We would rather you told us first, but it is your right either way.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry mail is limited to the people who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication.
No system is perfect. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in this site or in something we built, write to hello@identie.net and we will respond.
Children
This site sells business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say what changed rather than quietly reissuing the document.
Contact
Questions about this document go to hello@identie.net, or by post to IDENTIE LEGAL ENTITY NAME, REGISTERED ADDRESS, COUNTRY.
